Three Good Developers vs. One Great Developer

Appster’s Hiring Process

A candidate will spend roughly 15 hours in our hiring process between multiple rounds of interviews based on role based skill sets and behavioral competency. As well as real-time programming tests. Based off of this, we hire the top 2-5% of candidates.

Some may consider this to be over-the-top, however we attribute it to be the major reason as to why we’ve been successful and have such great talent.

Appster hires the top 2-5% of developers in the industry based on our comprehensive interviews and skill tests.
Initial Screening
Candidates are taken through an intensive screening process that varies based on the role.
Career History & Role Based Competency Interview
We conduct full analysis of their career history and score for competencies based on the role.
Behavior Competency & Culture Fit Review
If they make it past the first few steps, we then score candidates for behavioral competency and culture fit.
Team Interview & Assessment
The candidate must be assessed by the team they are joining with team members affirming the candidate will be a good fit for the team.
IKM Test
We score the candidate based on IKM tests against a global benchmark, only hiring those in the top 2-5 percentile.
Real-Time Programming Interview
The candidate is asked to perform programming tests in front of one of our senior team members to assess real-world skills.
Comprehensive Reference Checking
We perform comprehensive reference checks to make sure of the legitimacy of the candidate.
Final sign-off from one of the Co-CEOs
Finally one of the co-CEOs interviews & signs off on every single hire even with 400 employees across the world!
