We work with inventors to create new and disruptive technologies that have never been built before. Based on the technical benchmark tests that we put our programmers through, we only hire within the top 5% in the world for that skill set (a lower acceptance rate than Harvard!)
One example with BlueDot: we had over a dozen IT professionals including a high-profile executive from one of the world’s largest software companies say it was IMPOSSIBLE to build. Many competitors had tried, but none could get accuracy smaller than 100m due to the intense battery drain (the average app would drain a phone in 90 minutes!). We got accuracy to under 3-4 meters and 1 meter on a good day (literally 100 times better!). BlueDot’s battery drain is nearly unquantifiable as our technology introduces, for the first time, non linear battery drain. It could, on some days, be non-existent.
Another truly exciting and inspiring project we’re working on is an optical device that helps people regain perfect 20-20 vision, removing the need for glasses!!! With projects like these under our belts, there’s a reason why more game-changing products are built with Appster than anywhere else.
Every part of our process is made to support Entrepreneurs and Fast-Growth companies, from our Start-Up Ready Workshop where we teach the Lean Start-Up framework, to the Ideation and Consulting phase where we do SWOT analysis, competitor analysis, Rapid Idea Validation and Rapid Concept Workshop, to the Execution phase where we implement Rapid Agile development to give you flexibility as you negotiate the many changes and challenges you may face with real users, all the way to Growth Consulting where we give you post-development support to help you optimize your product and increase engagement. During kick off in development, you’ll work with your Product Manager to set real measurable metrics that we’ll track during our Rapid Agile development process. As we invite users, we’ll review metrics along the way and look to implement changes to increase these key metrics along the way. When you launch your final product you’ll work with our Growth Team out of our San Francisco/Silicon Valley office to further optimize your product by looking for ways to increase engagement, retention, and revenue using A/B split tests and funnel analysis. We do all these things to give you a better chance at success.
Fixed contracts are an extremely dangerous way to lock yourself into an engagement with no flexibility. That means NO change requests and no flexibility in scope unless you pay for it. That also means you can’t control more money and more time being added to a development contract with any sort of change. Our contract is built for true Agile development and uses a trading system which lets you trade features in and out, depending on whether they still have importance during the development timeline. That way if a competitor launches with all your features, or you think of a new revolutionary feature that HAS to be added — you’ll be able to start on it as soon as the next week. Because we’re always shipping fully functional working software after every sprint, you may find that your product is ready for the market 70% of the way through development. Because of this, we have a special exit clause within our agreement which gives you the ability to exit the contract at anytime and just pay out our profit margin. That means less money for development you don’t need and more money to spend on marketing or other things!
We regularly host monthly events to educate our clients for FREE, inviting successful entrepreneurs and speakers who cover topics like: Marketing Tactics and Growth Hacking for $0, How to pitch investors for funding, how to get FREE effective PR, pitch nights for founders and investors, Start-Up education, Legal risks and contracts, and success stories from real entrepreneurs. We’re passionate about building and educating a community to support the ecosystem that supports us.
We are a no-hype, no BS organization that will not just sell you for the sake of closing a project. You’ll understand the realities you’re going to face to take a product into the marketplace, and we’ll help you implement a best-practice framework we’ve developed to help minimize your risk and investment in order to test, tweak and pivot your idea – based on real measurable data. We’ll aim to build an app that has message-market fit ASAP, and then work with you to ship fortnightly working software that you’ll be able to beta test with your audience immediately (this CANNOT be done in a traditional waterfall method of development, but with Rapid Agile we can do this!) After launch you’ll work with our growth team to split-test and optimize problem areas.
Don’t just get palmed off to a traditional Project Manager. We recruit top talent around the world and train them based on our own development philosophy and approach. We are passionate about our industry and love the projects we work on. (one of our PMs was the Product Manager of a 14 million download game with $1 million a month in revenue). You’ll get daily updates, weekly calls and regular product demonstrations so you can see exactly what’s happening with your projects as it happens–full transparency! You’ll always be able to escalate issues directly to the General Manager or Sales Manager with their direct email and phone line.

Once we understand a project’s risk we can then determine whether the best engagement model is a fixed fee or a flexible arrangement. We know that 95% of our clients change features or sometimes pivot their whole concept completely, that’s why we offer an exclusive agreement to either lock down a fixed price (and features) or provide you the ultimate flexibility in being able to develop your project with a road map that can change at anytime! This means we deliver the greatest business value possible, and you get to walk away with the product you and your customers need right now, not what you thought you wanted at the start, as we know that will always change.
During Start-Up Ready and Rapid Concept Workshop, you’ll learn about our framework for taking uncompelling digital products to lean-mean revenue-generating machines! We’ll teach you about something Appster calls Habitual Dependence, which is how we build psychological dependence and addiction within digital products. You’ll learn about Social Catalyst Engines–which is how we systematize virality and turn every one of your users into a free marketing department for your product for FREE. We’ll teach you about User Funnels and how to optimize them at each step to make sure you have as much chance as possible to generate tangible results. We teach these frameworks through our workshops because we know that 95% of people leave a digital product within 30 days. We’ll work with you to design a product that defies these statistics!
We have an exclusive partnership with Fiksu in which we can give special introductions once we have strong metrics and are generating revenue. They are responsible for marketing 40 of the top 50 apps in the world last year, and have generated over 2 billion app downloads. They are the strongest marketing partner you could hope to have when you’re ready to scale.
Appster has a strategic partnership with KPMG (a Global Top 4 accounting firm) which lets us refer clients at NO-COST (you only pay success fees if you are successful in your grant!). KPMG will work with you to position your project and apply for R&D tax incentives and grant funding – this may qualify you for up to 45% of your development costs back, which can go a very long way.
We are straight shooters about the reality of Non-Disclosure Agreements – we use mutual NDAs to protect ideas and our own methods of execution, as well as strict internal security measures to lock down your IP. We only employ our own developers, separating us from smaller firms which act as the “face” whilst secretly outsourcing your projects to other firms.
We’ll challenge your business model during the consulting phase but even if you’ve got that right, the most important part of business modelling with digital product is understanding what your Key Drivers are. Every digital business model has Key Drivers that are critical to get right in order to maximize revenue. For example: we know that with any sort of Freemium model one of the Key Drivers to that business model is making sure people are coming back every day. So if you had a Freemium business model we would work with you to implement product hacks involving Onboarding, Activation, Habitual Dependence, and Social Catalyst Engines that support your unique Key Drivers for your unique business model. We understand this better than anyone in the industry – and we do this better than anyone in the industry.
